Nothing like a lovely summer session to show off your 8 month old baby!! This was a fantastic session in the Kitsilano Area in our lovely August weather. This little guy was all smiles for the entire session, I actually think he’s entirely all smiles all the time. 🙂 We just wandered around the Kitsilano beach area finding some grass for him to play in with his mom and dad. This is their favorite park so it was great to capture some fun images of their family here.

More favourite people! Counting the days to the Salt Spring Island wedding in August. Just a few of our favourite shots!
Before I archive this one I had to run over here and share. This was a teeny wedding that I shot at Hycroft a couple of weeks ago for just an hour. The video makes me cry.
When the craziness that can be associated with larger weddings is stripped away, you’re left with two people who are so deeply in love that nothing else matters but the two of them and the commitment made to marry. I adore photographing weddings for that reason, and was so very honoured to capture these moments for them.

Every week we have goodies heading out the door to our clients to hang on walls, be given as gifts, and adorn coffee tables. We’re always trying to get them into everyone’s hands quickly, and seldom take the time to grab a photo for us!
So, a few weeks ago I was sure to grab my camera when we had a few orders come in all together, so wanted to share a quick peak with you now that gifts have been given and everything is out. A few traditional canvasses for the walls, a gorgeous wedding album with a metal cover, folios as gifts, and a few print orders all crossed our desks that day. Here’s just a peak!
One of the things I love most about capturing brand new arrivals is being able to take their portraits in their homes. I love knowing that when they are older they’ll have that image of what even a little piece of their first home looked like – a snapshot in time of when two became three! Being able to incorporate little things like a handmade blanket, a special hand-me-down, or even something fun like dad’s guitar cab is so much more personal than working in a studio of generic props, and we had fun capturing a few of these shots with Clementine. Can’t wait for her next session as she starts to get more mobile, and is full of belly laughs and smiles!
I loved being able to catch a glimpse of our unseasonable snow through the window for these family portraits, and the sweet moments with mom, dad, the kids – and puppy Honey, of course!
